Environment
Concern for the environment is one of
Laredo Energy's basic responsibilities and a long-standing company
commitment. To maintain a responsible balance between the development
of natural gas reserves and the protection of the environment,
Laredo Energy has developed a broad array of operational requirements,
engineering standards and performance guidelines. These include
environmental project assessments, air and water quality standards,
occupational health regulations, waste management procedures
and contingency plans for natural gas seepage.
Safety
Of equal importance is Laredo
Energy's commitment to safety. The company strives to ensure
the safety of employees and the public, as well as Laredo Energy
assets, by identifying potential hazards, controlling risks
and educating and motivating employees and their families to
work and live safely.
