Howard Selzer, SVP, CFO
Howard K. Selzer has more than 36 years of E&P accounting and finance experience, including extensive experience in IFRS, U.S. GAAP, raising equity and debt, initial public offerings and managing finance and accounting organizations in various parts of the world. He most recently served as CFO of Freedom Oil & Gas, Reliance Holding USA, and CASA Exploration as well as CAO for Quantum Resources and its public entity QR Energy. Mr. Selzer graduated from the University of Houston with a BBA in Accounting and is a Certified Public Accountant.
Jeff Shyer, VP Operations
Mr. Shyer is a 25-year veteran of the oil and gas industry, with 16 years at Transocean subsidiaries, Applied Drilling Technology, Inc. (ADTI) and Challenger Minerals, Inc. He served as Managing Director, Vice President – International, General Manager – UK division, Operations Manager and Senior Evaluation Engineer. He began his career at Rowan Petroleum as a drilling engineer, working both onshore and offshore. Mr. Shyer has a BS in Petroleum Engineering from LSU and a BA in Business Management from Louisiana Tech University.
Scott G. Stevenson, VP Engineering
Prior to Laredo, Mr. Stevenson served as the manager for reservoir engineering at Michael Petroleum Corporation from 1998 until the company was sold. Prior to that, he served as manager of acquisitions and divestitures for Tribo Petroleum and for Tri-Union Development. He is the former co-owner of Stevenson Management and launched his career as a consulting engineer with Huddleston & Co. Inc. Mr. Stevenson has a BS in Petroleum Engineering from Texas A&M University.
Ken Cravens, VP Land
Mr. Cravens brings more than 30 years of industry experience to Laredo. He was Land Manager-South Texas for Rosetta Resources and worked for Calpine after its purchase of Michael Petroleum. Mr. Cravens has a BBA from Texas State University, is member of the American Association of Professional Landmen and also the Houston Association of Professional Landmen. He is a Certified Professional Landman.
Joan W. Dunlap, VP Strategy & Investor Relations
Ms. Dunlap co-founded Petrohawk Energy Corporation, a public company that was sold to BHP Billiton in 2011. Prior to that she worked in investment banking with J.P.Morgan Chase and as a financial analyst with the Federal Reserve Bank. Ms. Dunlap has a BA in Economics from Tulane University, an MBA from Rice University, and completed a post-graduate program in Energy at Harvard Business School.
