Robert Cabes

Robert Cabes, a director of Laredo Energy, is a partner at Avista Capital Partners, a company he helped form in 2005.  Prior to that, he was a principal with DLJMB Global Energy Partners, a private equity firm and affiliate of Credit Suisse.

He has served as an investment banker for Credit Suisse, for DLJ and for Prudential Securities, doing underwriting and performing merger and acquisition assignments for companies in the energy sector.

Mr. Cabes received his Bachelor of Business Administration degree in 1991 from Southern Methodist University, and holds a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation. He is a member of the CFA Institute, and of the Houston Society of Financial Analysts.

Based in Houston, Texas, Mr. Cabes serves currently as a director of several companies in addition to Laredo Energy. They include: ACP II Marcellus, Celtique Energie, Geokinetics, Hansa Hydrocarbons, Laramie Energy, Manti Exploration, Pinnacle Gas Resources, Royal Offshore and Spartan Offshore. He is a former director of Copano Energy, MedServe and Medicine Bow Energy.
