Vice President, Land
Ken Cravens, vice president for land development at Laredo Energy and a Certified Professional Landman, joined Laredo in March 2007, bringing to the company more than 25 years of experience in the oil and gas industry. He is responsible at Laredo for land and business operations, and for business development.
Prior to joining Laredo, Mr. Cravens was Land Manager-South Texas for Rosetta Resources and worked for Michael Petroleum after its purchase by Calpine. He was also active for five years in information technology and was a participant in the design and marketing of oil and gas-related software applications developed by Oracle Corporation and now used by independent producers of oil and gas.
A graduate of Texas State University in San Marcus, Texas, with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree, he is a member of the American Association of Professional Landmen and the Houston Association of Professional Landmen.
Mr. Cravens and his wife, Janice, have three children, David, Michael and Leigh. When he isn’t exploring for potential oil and gas deposits, he enjoys backpacking in the Rocky Mountains, taking unguided river trips, hunting, fishing and playing golf.
