Jim Flowers

Vice President, Drilling & Completion

Jim Flowers, Laredo Energy’s Vice President of Drilling and Completion, is a former Project Manager with Michael Petroleum Corporation. At Laredo he is responsible for the company’s field operations, including all permitting, and for ensuring that pipelines are properly maintained and operational. His oversight duties range from drilling to production.

Prior his service with Laredo Energy, Mr. Flowers held positions that included district engineer, area engineer, Frac Services manager and district manager for Schlumberger. He also served as a completion engineer for Calpine and as a senior engineer for Carbo Ceramics.

He is a 1984 graduate of Texas A&M University where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in petroleum engineering. He is an author or co-author of a number of texts on technical issues, and a member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers.

He and his wife, Tenza, have two sons, Daniel and Tyler. An avid outdoor enthusiast, Mr. Flowers enjoys fishing and golf.
