Jerry F. Holditch
Senior Vice President of Geology
As Senior Vice President of Geology for Laredo Energy, Jerry F. Holditch, a member of the company’s board of directors, is responsible for all of Laredo’s exploration activities. He is a former vice president of exploration at Michael Petroleum Corporation and joined other former executives there in co-founding Laredo Energy in 2001.
Prior to his tenure at Michael Petroleum, Mr. Holditch was a developmental geologist for TransTexas Gas Corporation and for its predecessors. He was deeply involved in drilling projects in the Lobo Trend in South Texas and earlier worked for Gulf Oil Corporation as a Gulf Coast geologist.
Mr. Holditch holds a Bachelor of Science Degree from Texas A&M University, where he was a member of the Corps of Cadets Company F2 and named Distinguished Military Student. He is a member of the South Texas Geological Society, the American Association of Petroleum Geologists, the Houston Geological Society and of the Independent Petroleum Association of America.
In addition, Mr. Holditch is a trustee for the Texas A&M 12th Man Foundation and an active member of the Echo Foundation for the Tomball Regional Hospital in Tomball, Texas.
When he is not involved with family activities with his wife, Cindy, and their two children, Kendall and Harrison, he enjoys hunting and golf.
