Douglas E. Swanson

Douglas E. Swanson, Jr., a member of the board of directors of Laredo Energy, is a partner with EnCap Investments L.P., having joined the company in 1999. He is formerly a corporate lender with Frost National Bank and began his career as a financial analyst with Southwest Bank of Texas. While there, he developed underwriting skills by providing analytical services on credit transactions.

Mr. Swanson graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor of Arts in economics and a Master of Business Administration degree in finance.

He is a member of the Independent Petroleum Association of America, the Houston Producers' Forum and the Texas Independent Producers and Royalty Owners Association.

In addition to his service to Laredo Energy, Mr. Swanson is on the board of directors of several EnCap portfolio companies, including AROC, Inc. He is also on the board of Oasis Petroleum (NYSE: OAS) of Houston, Texas.
