Robert L. Swanson is Laredo Energy's vice president - accounting and one of the company's founders. He was previously employed as vice president - finance of Michael Petroleum Corporation. Prior to joining Michael Petroleum, Swanson served as controller, chief financial officer and treasurer of Southwest Ice Enterprises, L.C. He has also been employed in supervisory roles by Houston and San Antonio area CPA firms and the Enterra Corporation.

A certified pubic accountant in the State of Texas, Swanson holds a BBA in
accounting from Texas Tech University.

Swanson is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants
and the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants.
