PAUL THOMPSON
Chief Geologist

Paul Thompson is Laredo Energy's Chief Geologist. In this capacity Thompson is involved with the development of drilling opportunities, as well as the acquisition and disposition of properties within the Lobo Trend.

Prior to joining Laredo Energy, Thompson was Manager of Development Geology for Michael Petroleum. Paul has also been employed by Conoco Inc. as a Geological Advisor and TransTexas Natural Gas as a Development Geologist.

Thompson attended the University of Tennessee, where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in geology.

Recognized by the Texas Railroad Commission as an expert witness on Lobo geology, Thompson has worked his entire professional career in the Lobo and Wilcox Trends of South Texas.

Thompson is a member of the American Association of Petroleum Geologists and the Houston Geological Society.
