STEVEN A. WEBSTER
Managing Director - Global Energy Partners

Steven A. Webster is a managing director of Global Energy Partners, an affiliate of CSFB private equity group, which makes private equity investments in the energy business. Early in his career, Webster worked in both the investment banking and venture capital businesses. In 1988, he founded Falcon Drilling Co., which later merged with Reading & Bates and Cliffs Drilling to become R&B Falcon, one of the world's largest offshore drilling rig companies. He served as CEO through mid-1999 and vice chairman through early 2001 when R&B Falcon was acquired by Transocean Sedco Forex.

Webster received a BS degree from Purdue University and a MBA from Harvard Business School where he was a Baker Scholar.

He serves as chairman of Carrizo Oil & Gas, Inc. and as a director of Grey Wolf Inc., Geokinetics Inc., Camden Property Trust, Brigham Exploration Company, Basic Energy Services, Copano Energy, Consort Resources and Encore Bank.
